Robert is motivated by assisting churches to reach their maximum potential for ministry in their local communities. Robert joined RSI following 18 years in pastoral ministry, serving 14 years as Senior Pastor, and 4 years as an Administrative Pastor. During his pastorates, he led churches in redefining their ministry approach so they could positively impact their community. He conducted multiple capital stewardship campaigns for the purpose of church relocation and building expansion. Through these experiences, Robert was observed the intricacies of church growth and capital programming from the church's perspective - insights that would prove invaluable to Robert's work as an RSI consultant.

A sought-after conference speaker and seminar leader, Robert uses his communication and leadership skills to guide organizations through transition and vital growth. His personal style and genuine heart for ministry are evidenced in every dimension of his programming - characteristics that have made him a consultant of choice for many congregations, especially those whose mission is to reach the unchurched. Robert recently led The Crossing, Costa Mesa, CA, through a $14 million campaign for a new auditorium. Their campaign was a stunning success, raising nearly four times their annual income. Other recent campaigns are: Mariners Church, Irvine, CA, $54 million (two campaigns), and Harvest Christian Fellowship, Riverside, CA, $15 million.

Education

Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mid-America Nazarene University, a Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. The focus of his doctorate thesis, Revitalizing Plateaued Churches, has been helpful to congregations facing church growth and organizational management challenges.
