Professional Experience

Ray joins RSI after serving more than 35 years as a pastor. During that time, Ray served two congregations. His long tenures as a leader establish his premier leadership abilities and aptitude to grow a community of faith in both depth and breadth. As a pastor, Ray invited RSI to partner with his congregations for capital campaign ventures on three separate occasions.

Known for his motivational gifts, Ray helps leaders clearly identify a vision that will garner widespread support. He is deeply committed to worship, fostering its place as the center of the faith community. Regarding his work Ray says, "I love to make a difference in people's lives by helping individuals grow in their faith and stewardship."

Education

Ray earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in River Falls, a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary, and continuing education work at Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
 
Personal
 
A resident of Henderson, Nevada, Ray is a longtime member of the Lion's Club, in which he has served as President. He enjoys the art of photography and enjoys photographing the world's birds in exotic locales such as Africa. Ray and his wife, Kay are the proud parents of four and the grandparents of three.
