Professional Experience
Mick Tune is motivated by a commitment to stewardship and a passion for developing leadership in others. Before joining RSI, Mick served for seventeen years as a minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). With RSI, Mick draws unique and challenging assignments, and each time he leads with unusual insight, sensitivity, and energy. Such contributions have gained for him the respect, admiration, and appreciation of his fellow consultants, as well as the acknowledgment from churches for their successful programs. One of RSI's most versatile and ecumenical consultants, Mick has successfully partnered with a wide range of congregations - from Willow Creek Association churches to Catholic parishes; from Mainline congregations to Independent Churches; from new church starts to thirty-million dollar capital initiatives. Qualified to assist organizations in thinking strategically, Mick has helped churches across the country define their vision and their mission through Studies, Campaigns, and Major Gift initiatives. With exceptional gifts in communications strategies, Mick has helped churches to both effectively communicate and fully realize their unique calling. Education Mick graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, as a National Merit Scholar, and from Vanderbilt University (BA) in three years with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. Subsequently, he completed his ministerial training at Brite Divinity School (Texas Christian University) where he was Valedictorian and selected as their outstanding student in each of his last two years.
