Jim Runyan  Professional Experience
Jim Runyan joined RSI in 1988 with considerable experience in Christian ministry. His pastoral experience includes 18 years as Minister of Music and Media in several churches Jim was a Vice President with ACTS Television Network, an experience which prepared Jim to creatively address communication and program challenges in a variety of church cultures Just prior to joining RSI, Jim was an independent media consultant to churches and religious organizations.
Jim's strength is providing innovative strategic counsel to the organizations he serves. Jim has effectively overseen campaign efforts that have raised more than $450 million. Leaders continually express appreciation for his gifted communication and training skills with both small and large groups. At RSI, Jim is a member of the visionary team that develops services and products. Jim developed strategy and program materials for many churches and organizations, including the Willow Creek Community Church, the Crystal Cathedral, and the Archdioceses of Indianapolis and Chicago. A master of program architecture, Jim is also instrumental in the formation of the Stewardship Enhancement Initiative, a program designed to focus on the annual stewardship of local congregations. Education Jim earned a Bachelor of Music from Oklahoma Baptist University. A talented musician, several of his choral compositions are published, two of which were used in a children's television series.Personal Jim lives in McKinney, Texas with his wife, Marion. They have two married daughters, Emily and Erin, and three grand children. The family is actively involved in their church. Their favorite family activity is a day on the lake water-skiing.
