Professional Experience

Irby Cox joined RSI as a stewardship consultant after 23 years of experience as an associate pastor, worship leader, and educator. In his previous leadership positions he received both the Associational Music Director and Who's Who Among Church Musicians awards. First-hand involvement in numerous church and school expansion projects provides Irby the expertise to successfully identify and promote the necessary elements for Stewardship Programming to guide church leaders.

As an RSI Senior Executive Consultant, Irby has led successful campaigns in a variety of denominations and locations. He has helped churches with new location projects, renovations, debt reduction and facility expansions. He recently guided Bay Harbour United Methodist Church in League City, Texas, to build a Family Life Center. He also led the Cornerstone Christian Church in Shiloh, Illinois, to expand their facilities in order to accommodate growing children and youth programs. Both campaigns exceeded their anticipated goal, stating that the campaigns' true benefit was the spiritual growth experienced during their unique steps of faith. One additional program at Fairlawn Mennonite Church in Apple Creek, Ohio, broke all records at RSI with a 20 times annual budget commitment.

Education

Irby earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Oklahoma Baptist University, a Master of Education from North Texas State University, and a Master of Church Music from Southwestern Theological Seminary.
