Professional Experience
As a pastor and leader, George has served churches throughout Ohio for more than 25 years. In 2002 he received training as a Natural Church Development coach. In addition, George attended the Institution for Successful Church Leadership with Rick Warren, Robert Schuller, and George Hunter, and is both a Stephen Ministry Leader and a Disciple Bible Study Facilitator. George is gifted with leadership and administration which he uses to enhance the ministry of the church through innovation. "Assisting leaders to evaluate the transforming culture and embrace change without wavering from a commitment to the Great Commission and the Great Commandment is my ministry." George has experience consulting a wide variety of clients in Major Gift Campaigns. Some of his Clients include: United Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Lutheran and Seventh Day Adventist denominations. He has also assisted Christian Schools to raise funds for new construction. George has been instrumental in helping communities of faith to assess and evaluate how worship traditions hinder and/or support growth in local congregations. He has led leadership training workshops for local pastors and their lay leaders on topics such as, "Congregational Development and Church Growth" and "Stewardship Development in the Local Church." In churches throughout Ohio, George has led and assisted a wide variety of services including ministry audit consultations, strategic planning retreats, annual stewardship programs, and capital stewardship programs. He and his wife of 22 years, Rosemary (Dolly) reside in Granger, Ohio with their English Cocker named Katie. Their two adult sons, Bill and Mark , currently reside in Ohio. |
